Our Staff

We welcome our new Music Director, David Sanchez. David has just moved from Kansas City, Missouri to the New York area in order to pursue a career in opera. David graduated from William Jewell College and recently finished his Masters of Music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance. He served as Music Director at First Presbyterian Church of Independence, MO, where he led the Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and the Praise team over the last 6 years in addition to lending his tenor whenever necessary. David is excited to find a new church home making music and invited all who are able to our first Choir rehearsal at 7:30 on Thursday, September 13th!

Abbie Huff, Pastor
Marion Stefanoff, Church Administrator
David Sanchez, Music Director
Patricia Singer, Organist
Melissa Alexander, Youth Choir Director
Dan Madar, Cemetery Superintendent

Welcome to Germonds Church

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Germonds is a welcoming family of Christian believers joyously seeking, teaching, and sharing God’s Word, celebrating worship, embracing diversity, and caring for each other, our neighbors, and our world.

We usually worship on Sundays at 10:30 am (September – June) and at 9:30 am (July and August).

In an effort to take effective measures for curbing the spread of the Corona virus we have suspended “in-person gatherings.” This will include worship, choir, and all committee meetings. During this time we will work to use creative means to continue the work of the church, using virtual meetings, online tools, and good old fashioned phone calls.

Our Elders and Deacons will be reaching out to the congregation to check in, as well as see how we might serve one another at this time.

Lots of people need your prayers at this time, and perhaps this is an opportunity in the midst of our busy lives for all of us to slow down, pay attention to what’s important, and to draw close to God and to one another.

May the peace of Christ be with you all.
